P.J. Veber (pjveber@awod.com) from South Carolina writes: The earth is a place of senses and sensory pleasures, the most intimate-- and perhaps most pleasurable -- of which is the sense of touch. And I think it may be true that a large part of keeping in touch with "Heaven" is found in keeping touch with the earth. Both the sense of touch and feeling the earth beneath one's hands and feet can give a person a sense of joy... which is what I think the picture represents: TOUCH = JOY.
